Metronomy, CSS, Justice

Last night i went to academy one to see the Three best bands to tour with each other in a long time.
Ive finally seen metronomy live!
i feel so inspired, they were really amazing, i'd probably say that if they were awful anyway seeing as theyre one of my favourite bands.

So goood, Dance moves, the chest lights, Oscar cash, every little bit, immense!
Really suprised with them only playing one song off Pip paine, but i dont mind, The New stuff sounds sooo good. I got to experience Heartbreaker in the flesh, THE best unreleased song ive ever heard. would've been nice if they played Black eye or Our mums mates, but i aint complaining, i can see their new album being bloody amazing.
Reletively little people there, Bad luck to anyone who managed to miss such a spectacle.
i dont think their set was long enough at all.
I also managed to purchase a Metronomy t shirt , which came free with Pip paine!
so im just listening to it on repeat, again and again.
Im so tempted to throw some awesome music choriographed dance moves into my bands live set, such a good idea.

justice were on next, Crowd went pretty much nuts. They have alot of hardcore fans though, what do you expect?
I was right in there trying to dance and not fall over and things, I tell you that set was Bloody tiring. Afters i was so sweaty and tired.
all good though.
im not too familiar with their songs though, and the ones i was familiar with, they didnt even play properly , they always have to change them to death and mix them strangely.
i mean i should expect this from dj's, but meh. it was a little irratating.
Was still pretty good though, everyone i knew who went was saying that Justice should have headlined not CSS.
which i pretty much agree with except, replace the word justice with metronomy, and we have a deal.
hah.
i saw a few of CSS's songs , but i was generally to tired to bother watching most of it.
They dont have enough anthems.
Too boring,
although they have become better musicians i guess..

overall, Excellent night.
Metronomy = Mega

Awesometastic Myspace bands...

i think ill Go ahead and just flood your brain/s (how many people will actually read this?) with a list of crazy goood bands ive stumbled across while surfing the world wide myspace.
theres ALOT of talent out there,
too much Talent some would say.
but anyway heres some of the beautiful bands and musicians ive been listening to lately:

Death By Television
www.myspace.com/deathbytv
So it might be slightly biased thats hes a friend of mine. But anyway,
This Guy Harry makes This mad Guitar meets Gameboy Speed punk.
I personally love his approach to eight bit music, usually i would find eight bit a little boring, but sometimes intresting when combined with other things. He Does it really well, also incorporating Circuit bent sounds and childish toyish bleeps into his songs. But it all works so cleverly and like an aggresive child , it catches your attention straight away, i could probably go on about it for ages. but yes.
Its G O O D.

Unicorn Kid
www.myspace.com/unicornkid
Now, i've only been listening to this guy since the other week, (this'll be the last time i go on about eight bit in this post, Promise!) Really surpised with his unique stylings in eight bit,
who Also like DBTV uses the kids toys and intresting samples to make some really quite catchy gameboy thrashing melodys. you can See a bit of an influence from Crystal castles in his sound which i think is one thing that makes it stand out from the other repetitive eight bit gameboy crap on myspace. The tracks Incorrect and Phantom Unicorn are definetly my favourite, and i think in some way goes places other lsdj kids dont.
i can definetly see why he got played on Xfm now!

CANARIES
www.myspace.com/cnrs
I heard these guys Quite some time ago, and i've loved theyre stuff for ages.
anyway , about them, Theyre a Canadian Kinda Electro-ish Punk band, whos yells and yelps combined with simplistic synths and beating drums , make for a really good listen.
Its like Kids shouting, but it all sounds so fun, kind of feels like five people are shouting at you at once , but it works so well!

TEAM SPORTS
www.myspace.com/playteamsports
Good friend of mine George, hes been messing about with bands and synthesisers and things for quite some while now. But it finally looks like hes getting round to doing something with his talents, right now hes only doing mixes and stuff, but hes promised me some Original tracks and Remixes for the new year once he purchases a macbook and drum machine. I personally cant wait because i know he'll come with the goods.

I'll Post some More about Other great new myspace bands and things, But right now after that lot i cant be arsed, and i need to do lots of revision.

a start

This is my blog i guess. I'll just have to write about what is on my mind as i cannot think of anything else!

So yes,
As some of you may be aware, Rat Att Agg / Wrists (www.myspace.com/slappedwrists) , Whatever you choose to call them, have chosen to split up! for good.

It was with great sadness that i recieved this news!
Although i think im more annoyed than any other emotion. as i would have told all my friends again and again, It pisses me off alot. These Guys had Songs , Excellent songs!
Just listen To 'Can we fix it?' or 'The peddler' and how can you not say that is good song writing.
although thanks to theyre "hiatus" i hadnt been able to listen to such wonderful pieces of music for months. (they've just uploaded theyre discography almost onto theyre myspace, Which is my only real source of music seeing as i have about 20 mp3s on my actual hard drive thanks to my computer being shit!)
But as i was saying, Those songs had massive potential! If they had been able to stay in a studio long enough to compile an album im sure it would've been amazing.
which is the main thing that annoys me.
NO ALBUM. Sheesh, they could at least finish of what they started instead of leaving it all half demo'd or not even recorded.
I feel they've wasted what has been they're bands lifespan doing absolutely nothing.
which is mega annoying.
They sprung this split on us fans so strangely.
just a bulletin and blog.
no real reason , just "musical differences" and now theyre off onto theyre next new Bands. which are so much worse.
And just a week or two ago they'd Previewed what was a new track?!
a new track, Hooray. OH what you've split?
great.
Such a waste of time and hope.
i'd looked forward to seeing an album from them for sometime!
plus Rory's now a drummer in some craptacular punk band called kasms or something.
such a waste of a great song writing guitarist and vocalist.
well, anyway.

R.I.P

I get the feeling its like test icicles all over again.
but at least they released an album and toured about a million times.
